Rose’ Tasting – June 7th, 20120
Summer is coming soon. It’s time to take life easy. That’s why I’m going to scrap/ditch red wine for a while, and start a new exciting summer with a bottle of Rosé. It’s not just a wine. When you drink it, you need to close your eyes and every sip will bring you somewhere in Provence, by the sea. Which is for me the best area for the Rosé wines because the wines have evolved to reflect the character of the region’s terroir: fresh, lively, dry, elegant and aromatic with a distinct and rather forceful personality. This style is the result of painstaking production process and is a source of genuine easygoing pleasure.
So, if you want to discover a very good Rosé, let me introduce you Château d’Esclans located in Provence. This winery makes four of the most beautiful Rosé in the world because of the complexity of soil types, and the quality of the vinification. The men behind these wines are Sacha Lichine, the owner and the son of Alexis Lichine, one-time proprietor of Prieuré-Lichine and Lascombes, and Patrick Leon famous oenologist because he worked for prestigious winery as Chateau Lascombes, Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Opus One…
This is one of their Rosé “Whispering Angel” that we have in stock.
